This tutorial shows how to install Wave IPTV player on Firestick and Android/Google TV devices.

Wave IPTV is a quality live TV player that is free to use, offers a simple interface, and pairs well with any IPTV service.

We first heard about this new player from Patrons in the TROYPOINT Insider, which is one of the best resources for cord-cutters.

Several cord-cutters are becoming frustrated with TiviMate and other players that aren’t adding new features and improving the overall streaming experience.

While Wave IPTV is available the Google Play Store,  it is not available in the Amazon App Store and must be side-loaded on Fire TV devices.

Below you will find a screenshot guide to install Wave IPTV on Firestick, Fire TV, Android TV/Google TV boxes, and other devices.

After the installation tutorial we will show you how to setup this live TV player by inputting an M3U URL or Xtream Codes login credentials.

How to Install Wave IPTV on Firestick & Android TV

1. The first step is to install the Downloader Application and enable Unknown apps. See our Downloader tutorial if you haven’t done this yet. Then launch Downloader and click the search box to open it.

2. Enter the code 250931 to access the TROYPOINT Toolbox and click Go.

3. The page redirect message will appear.

4. Once in the TP Toolbox, scroll down to locate Wave IPTV and click Download.

5. Wait a few seconds for the file to download.

6. Click Install.

7. Click Open.

8. Wait a few seconds for the Wave IPTV application to load.

You have successfully installed the Wave IPTV application. Now follow the setup details below for pairing a live TV service.

How to Set Up Wave IPTV

After you have finished installing the app, you can launch it for set up and integrate your preferred live TV service. This is a simple process which we outline below.

1. When launching Wave IPTV for the first time you will see this screen. Click the arrow on the bottom right to continue.

2. Next you need to choose your connection method. While you can manually input your login credentials via Xtream Codes API or M3U URL, this process can be tedious and easy to make errors when inputting long URLs.

We scanned the QR Code with our phone to ensure we didn’t miss any letters, numbers, or symbols so our service integrates properly.

3. After scanning the QR Code with our phone, we copy & pasted a long M3U URL instead of typing it out manually on our Firestick. Then click Submit.

4. If the M3U URL is entered correctly you should get a success message. Then click OK.

5. After successfully integrating your live TV service you need to add a profile name, choose an avatar, and then click Save and Continue.

6. Then name the playlist and click OK.

7. You have successfully set up Wave IPTV! We suggest waiting a minute or two for the media contents of your live TV service to load.

Wave IPTV Categories & Details

The Wave IPTV player offers some great categories and features even for free users! Categories include Movies, Series, TV, Favorites, History, Search, and Settings.

The Movies category populates all of the video-on-demand (VOD) movies from your IPTV service. The Series category populates the TV shows. Keep in mind that not all services offer VOD content.

The TV category is where you can access all of your live channels from an electronic program guide (EPG). This player will automatically generate ‘Channel groups’ based on the genres from your service. In this instance our service provides a total of 3,640 channels.

When you click on a channel from the EPG it will start playing in the smaller screen above.

If you click on the channel again it will enable full screen mode.

When playing content from full screen there is an option to adjust the Player settings.

Now if you don’t prefer using the EPG you can browse channels in Grid Mode instead of List Mode.

Player Settings

When clicking the Settings option from the left menu you will be directed to this screen. Within the General Settings you can view the information and statistics of your paired service.

Within Preferences you can change some of the settings like Language, EPG offset, Time Format, and Startup screen. But notice the crown icon next to Interface as you must be a premium member to change that.

The Playlists & Updates screen allows you to manage your users and playlists. Plus you can update the application from this setting and there are more Options to explore if you want.

Wave IPTV Premium

Similar to TiviMate and other notable players, Wave IPTV does offer a “Premium” option that includes several more features than the free plan.

To purchase the Premium tier you must visit iptvcompanion.web.app, scroll down to the FAQs and find the question “How can I download the app and access Premium on Fire TV?”

From there you will see a dropdown with ‘Unlock Premium Access’ and then click the Buy button to purchase.

Important Note: After testing several times there seems to be an error with their payment processing. We’re not sure how long this will last.

Because of this payment error we could not find any pricing information, but we do know that Premium is a one-time purchase and a 14-day free trial is available.

Is Wave IPTV Safe to Use?

The best way to determine the safety of 3rd party apps is by scanning them with a virus checker such as VirusTotal.

As you can see, the Wave IPTV application is clean which is always a plus when using unverified 3rd party apps such as this.

It’s free to use, the user-interface is simple, the built-in EPG works great, there’s no ads when navigating, and it pairs well with any IPTV service.

However, we did encounter some bugs/issues when testing along with the Premium tier not being available for purchase right now.
